50K Or Bust! aims to present the early cross country pilot with the basics of cross country paragliding in an easily understood form based on techniques required for British conditions. It was written after a "cross country workshop" run by the Derbyshire Soaring Club revealed a need for something to cover the fundamentals of XC flying in Britain. The book discusses techniques needed to fly in Britain's temperate island climate which differ from those required for alpine or hotter areas.

50K Or Bust! is published by "print on demand". Books are individually printed to each customer's order by a rapid process. In the UK orders are usually delivered in about a week.
Print on demand permits the content of a book to be updated almost at will. The author can respond quickly to feedback from readers and much has been clarified and added since 50K Or Bust! was first published. It is hoped that this process of improvement will continue.
